This Scott County MN town began as a grain distribution center along the Minnesota River. The economy continues to diversify, and the city has developed southward from its origins on the river bank.

Right now, there are 148 single family units available on the Savage MN MLS. Average list price is $348,859, at an affordable $135.96 per square foot.* Median price statistics would be a more useful way to assess the Savage MN real estate market. Unfortunately,the Northstar Regional MLS does not provide median home price statistics.

Shakopee Real Estate

Shakopee MN is the seat of Scott County, and began as a booming river town in 1857. It still is booming. This city is growing rapidly, and is the center of growth for the fastest growing county in the state of Minnesota. Residential, commercial, and industrial development is occurring at a feverish pace. Both the townhome and new single family home sectors in the Shakopee real estate market are bursting at the seams with inventory.

The Shakopee MN real estate market is large and diverse. According to the Northstar Regional MLS, he single family home inventory listed in the Shakopee MLS stands at 250, with an average asking price of $382,384.* There is also a good selection of newer town homes, including all-one-level townhomes, detached town homes, twin homes, and European-style row homes.

Prior Lake Real Estate

Prior Lake MN is graced with some of this best fishing lakes around, incuding Upper and Lower Prior Lake, Spring Lake, and Fish Lake. Real estate in Prior Lake is affordable, but the statistics are deceptive. Right now, there are 235 homes (SF) for sale on the Prior Lake Minnesota MLS at an average price tag of $551,792.* This figure is skewed upward by multi-million dollar lake homes and executive golf course homes for sale in “The Wilds.” However, Prior Lake MN real estate is a great value, and you can find a nice single family home for under 400k.

Jordan MN MLS**

The Jordan MN real estate market always has a wide range of prices available. Right now, there are 80 homes for sale, for an average sticker price of $340,094.* This includes a large number of older starter homes and ramblers or splits built in the 1980’s. Many metro commuter purchase Jordan real estate because it is an easy, scenic commute along MN Highway 169. Residents can enjoy the rural character of the town, and still have easy access to the Twin Cities.

Belle Plaine MLS**

Scott County homes get cheaper as you drive south. Check out Belle Plaine real estate. There are plenty of affordable newer homes. There are about 106 houses for sale going for an average of $240,326. Average year-built is 1988. There is an abundant supply of starter homes in the Belle Plaine MN real estate market.

New Prague MN Homes for Sale

Check out New Prague MN real estate for an affordable house. Right now, there are 153 single family homes for sale for list prices averaging $333,697. However, there are over two dozen single family homes for sale that are still priced under 200K.*

Elko New Market Houses for Sale

The Elko New Market real estate inventory contains 63 single family homes for sale. According to the Northstar Regional Statistics, there are 21 that are built in 2000 or later.* Southern Scott County offers excellent choices in newer, affordable housing. Elko New Market may be on the far south end of the county, but is easily accessed by Interstate 35.
